Variable volume on broadband tv

Hi there

We've got a 5 month old LCD flatscreen that we watch via Virgin broadband. Recently the volume randomly gets quieter and then back to normal, within a few seconds. Is this cos of the broadband or the TV itself, does anyone know?

Cheers

Not sure what you mean by TV playing broadband...my Virgin TV uses a set top box, while the broadband goes to the PC.

Either way though, can you bypass the TV speakers by using headphones or another pair of speakers to see for sure?

Ive found the same on Virgin.
I was concerned it may be the new TV...but the volume on mine does suddenly leap a bit then go back down. Not often but...

Telephone and ADSL broadband uses the same cable, but I never heard of a phone call being referred to as broadband so was slightly confused by the OP that's all.

Either way, your advice is good, their helpdesk has served me well once I have gottent through to a human many times before.

Back in the day quite a few of the NTL franchises had STBs that could browse the net. Thesedays 50Meg customers can supposedly watch a few bits and bobs.

Anyway signal strength levels being wrong is nothing to worry about too much, it's fairly routine.

Wasn't quite sure what the OP meant but another common complaint with digital tv is the huge variability of volumes for tv channels.
