What are views on the PSA group ( Peugeot Citroen) making a bid for Vauxhall? I am surprised nobody has mentioned it yet .

Vauxhall don't make bikes.
Nothing to do with Brexit. GM Europe is hemorrhaging money and needs to cut costs, getting rid of Vauxhall/Opel is the only way they can do that.General Motors pulling out of Brexit UK and pinning the blame on the French.
To some, that's proof that Vauxhall don't make bikes.
That's just about it. I like Vauxhall, had a fair few but they are nothing special as you say, but if you just want a car to do a simple job, they do that and represent good value for money. That said, my Astra J is a let down after the H, heavy and relatively uneconomical...but it is better refined. Compared to Golf's, Seats etc etc, they're not as good... but, they're not those prices either. Inevitably, Peugeot will cut production at the least, long term I think you'd see the brand disappear. Despite my liking of Vauxhall, I can't say I'd be heartbroken if the brand disappeared. There's nothing special about Vauxhall, it's just a badge for GM's homogenous car production machine, what the sale of GM in Europe means in the long term is hard to guess, you have to follow the money to France to figure out what it means to the new owners, but I would guess some cuts/closures and changes are going to be necessary.
