2 weeks in Cornwall saw me add just 12 squares to my total now 6688

The Cornwall coverage is slowly expanding . Problem is now from my base just south of Newquay it's requires rides over 2 hours to grab any squares and get back which means early starts to stop me distrupting family plans

Stick your bike on the train from Newquay to Par, 48 minutes, £6.80 for a return? That could help fill out around St Austell.

Alas, my coverage in that area is rather more skeletal.

I will look into that it will need to be an early train so I can get back to do family stuff.
Is that route from a lejogs trip ? Cycles now banned on the A30 from Chiverton cross (St Agnes turn ) to Carland Cross A39 turn

Yep, that was a 2021 LEJOG, and I was banned from the Zelah Bypass section, as the Chiverton-Carland works were just getting started. Of course, my understanding is that the A30 I used then is now effectively the cycle route

Yes lots of the old A30 are still used as roads to save building extra junctions but it has much lighter traffic than it used to have on it

It's a route I know fairly well further east, where the A30 effectively is the old road to the A303. A bit busier given the distance from the A303 and local traffic, but still quite serviceable as a route.

Over various rides I've ridden the length of it from London to Honiton, and most of the old route beyond Honiton (not done Bodmin Moor or such).

The other end from Land's End

E.g. I used it for a near-200 km ride to London, fast, never too busy.
