Very small action camera

Hi all,

Decided to buy a preferably small, discreet action camera for helmet mounting. All the ones I see are using the GoPro mounting system which seems incredibly NOT discreet to me, no matter how small the camera, the camera is still on the end of about 5cm of brackets and adaptors!

Also, I'd prefer it to be remote controlled using a simple on/off/record handlebar mount.

Does such a camera exist?

I actually have a Shimano CM-200 action camera (bought amazingly cheap from that Pro bikekit offer a few years ago) and I went on to buy a large accessory kit for it, including a chest mount. But it's a bit overkill for road cycling. What i really want is a tiny camera that would attach to the side of the helmet with a bar mounted remote.

This is mine and there are loads of attachments to give you all sorts if options for mounting it although I would never put it anywhere near my head.
