Hello all!

As per above, my video doorbell stopped working after installing a new front door.
The door cam is a basic one, connects to my WiFi, can access through an app on my phone, specifically the seeing app.
The new door is a composite fire door, has metal bars, while previously I had a solid wood front door.
The cam will not pair with the WiFi anymore after I refitted it to the new door.
It is a cheap £15 one, but was working perfectly for months.
Before I go buy a new one, does anybody have a solution?
I did the usual as suggested by Google/You Tube, deleted cam and app from phone, reinstalled, rebooted the cam.
Cheers for any suggestions!

Are you trying to pair them close up or further away through the new (closed) door?

I've had a couple of cameras that would only do the initial setup/connection when next to each other but after that would stay connected at distance.

The door bell cam pairs to your phone, via your WiFi.
I tried near, far, in between the door and the router, nothing.
Thing is, it was working when I took it off the old door, then when I attached it to the new door it was still working (it took the still of me fitting it), then it stopped within minutes.
Now, it won't pair to WiFi at all.

Has the battery in the camera become dislodged, during the refitting?

So nothing to do with the new door. Probably cheap made components that failed after being moved. Or (slim chance), your router doesn't like it from an IP conflict, firewall etc after being reconnected. If there's a factory reset of the device, do that. Else bin it. If you really can be bothered, try it at someone else's house who lets you have access to their network
