Any suggestions for cleaning up the wheels? Was thinking of a very fine wet and dry to remove the light rust

Hammerite rust removing gel is good for chrome, tomato ketchup is also supposed to work as does cheap cola

Thought that was only any good on newer chrome.

Used foil dipped in a vinegar and salt mix ... worked well , currently got saddle soaking in coke as springs hard to reach to clean

The only thing I can offer at present, is the headbadge appears to have first been introduced in 1962......for the sports range.

The chain-guard & paint scheme look 50s?.

Your brakes are from the 60's, with the rear hub from dating from 1965.
