Virgin 'Tivo' box problems

My Tivo box seems to record programmes at random, they're not even anything that's been 'series linked'

I can look at the 'Delete' box after a week or so, & there'll be 20-odd programmes that have gone straight there, without ever appearing in the recorded listings
I wouldn't mind if they were programmes I wanted to watch, but they are entirely random


Suggestions please, before I join any kind of customer services call queue system

I've just got this box too and I'm thinking it could be the box will record if similar in someway to something you've recorded, even though it's an unlikely similarity? I've recorded a few things but nowhere near as many that has filled my recording memory? But they do self delete after a certain time period.

It's nowhere near the memory limits, just damned annoying

I think there may be a 'Suggestions' option, I'll have a look, when I go down to the basement room, where it is, thankyou

Thats what it is.
It says it doesn't take up memory, so I don't know where stuff gets stored.

it's the suggestions; they don't take up your allocation of storage space so don't worry. got me wondering when we first got one too…

Turn off auto-recording
1. Go to Help & Settings from the
main menu.
2. Choose Settings and enter your PIN
(if you’ve set one up).
3. Choose Recordings, then
Suggestions to change your settings.

Yes, but why are 'Suggested' programmes recorded, then sent straight to the 'Delete' box??, without bypassing 'Recorded programmes'
