Hi

I am fed up with seeing that so and so did 100 virtual miles up the top of some remote island in the pacific and that he or she has ridden 2000 feet and at 19.5 mph.

Whist I appreciate that a good Zwift workout is hard work, it aint the same as the pot hole jumping, traffic wrangling, wet winter weather malarky that I am putting in at present.

I wish I could filter out ZWIFT rides from my Strava feeds!

PS, I am just jealous - It looks like great fun

Doesn't affect me, as I don't have a turbo, and it's none of my business how other people record their miles.

I used to go to a gym that had a Wattbike, which was fun, and I enjoyed playing sausage/peanut/sausage and displaying my awesome wattage for all to see but I don't go there any more.

It's really caught on. So many people are doing it. I'm not one of them though, hard fought winter miles only at the moment, which is probably why I've a coughy virus type thing just now.

It's bloody hard. Just spent an hour at an average of 169 beats with a maximum of 188.

Unfortunately commuting by bike is out and I'm not riding road anymore. It's a damn good way of building fitness. I try and get out on the MTB at least one night a week (too much washing for every night). The plan is to build fitness for long weekend rides.

I've done over nearly three hours on it in the last 3 days. There is no way I would have done that without one of these programmes.

I'm tired of all these "cyclists" posting their distance travelled, everyone knows that's no measure of how hard you're suffering - everyone should post their TSS as I have done.

PS I wish I was allowed outside more often

I don't mind so much Swift and BKool as they'll be a calculated theoretical distance corresponding to the effort, it can't be 100% accurate (ie no wind, potholes etc) but I respect the effort. Its folk who just quote speed/distance from a turbo I find a bit tiresome, no mention of resistance/ effort which is very much turbo related. ie on my muin my top sprint is about 19mph and on my old magnetic turbo 56mph, similar effort but wide differences ;)
