Yeah well restoration may be a bit of an exaggeration better call it a major clean up.
Seriously though l am quite excited by this old bike and spent an hour or two this afternoon taking it apart.
A few photos for you.....please feel free to advise on how to proceed.
I think that if James Bond rode a bike it would have to be a Viscount^_^

Paint work looks like the GP variant, yellow wasn't a popular colour back then for some reason.

The photographs are a bit off regarding the colour, it is basically grey with a sort of orange / yellow detail but l am interested in the GP initials, what do they stand for ?

Grand Prix I think....it was a long time ago LOL
Thats a relief, l was thinking maybe it referred to the person you might need due to the "death"fork i.e. GP general practitioner ^_^

@woodbutcher read this and work out what forks you have http://viscount-lambert-bikes.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/about-those-lambert-viscount-death.html

But on a serious note that looks fantastic and if you cant enjoy that then you need to have a serious look ^_^
Just checked the fork/tube configuration and it is a single pin type three. According to your attachment (for which many thanks) these were only fitted to the Aerospace Pro which was the top of the range bike, nice ! Of course it could have been retro fitted
