Paint oxidised and corrosion beginning to take hold under it. Simples. There were no original parts left on the bike when I bought it so have a free canvas to build for my own purposes. There is no rarity value in this one so going to build a lightweight audax.

Can do in a couple of hours but not going to do that, it's not work anymore but fun

Pinstripe was not original, had been added ...badly....at some time. Has continental style lugs which look plain silly lug lined

Frame drilled and tapped and cable guides fitted

Drilled and grease port fitted

Handlebars fitted up, bar end shifters, guidenot levers and tape wound

Huret cable guide fitted. Original removed by a previous owner along with pump pegs for some strange reason???
Probably about the same time as was patch painted over some corrosion with a rattle can Doh! Ah well, nothing that can't be fixed.
Nervar bottom bracket axle and Hatta cups fitted

TA Cyclotouriste Crankset 42x 26. 165mm cranks as I is only little With Lyotard Berthet pedals

Universal 61 brakes fitted

Just the mudguards and seat/seatpost to fit now. might try to get it finished this evening ready for a spin tomorrow

Gilles Berthoud mudgurds fitted, Ideale saddle "swallowised". Ready for a spin tomorrow
Just the frame Decals to apply, should arrive early to midweek, fingers crossed.
