I use a wahoo bolt, the old black and white one. I link it to my phone via Bluetooth and use RidewithGPS to get directions. If I put my phone in my back pocket I find it hard to hear the directions. With my old phone I could plug my earphones in to get the directions. My new all singing and dancing phone doesn't have a socket for earphones.

If I get a Bluetooth headset can I link to both the wahoo and the headset at the same time?

You should be able to. Most phones can have multiple simultaneous Bluetooth connections. Mine certainly can.

I've never tried the voice navigation but be interested to see how good it is. I also have a v1 Bolt, and whilst it's been really good the map page is pretty crap. I plot routes in RWGPS and use the turn by turn nav but I might try the voice nav to see how effective it is. Usually I plot route on desktop, download route to Wahoo and go from there. I assume if want to use voice nav have to have RWGPS app open/started on phone as well?
I don't subscribe to RWGPS only use the free version.

Edit : Just checked and you get a free 7 day trial with voice navigation then it's £59.99 per year. I'll give that a pass.

Yes, they are seperate Bluetooth devices, with the headset just doing Bluetooth audio. Your Wahoo does not need to know about the Bluetooth headset, that’s all managed by your phone deciding where to send audio.

It's £5.50 a month, not much but these things do add up, and I am actually using it for now at least. The black and white maps aren't the best but they just about work and I don't want to spend £250 for a pretty colour one.

Cost I agree is nothing, less than a pint in most pubs but seeing as I'd get minimal use it's not worth it for me. I only tend to plot routes on the trips abroad as rocking up in say Mallorca etc with none isn't ideal although I've been enough times I'm pretty clued up there now.
The later Wahoo's, Roam V2 and on are a lot better nav wise

Well, I ordered a headset, the sort that don't stick in your ear but just rest on your head next to your ear. They work well listening to music. I'll be trying them out with the yahoo tomorrow.
