Completely frustrated at my total lack of miles recently, I have just done 23 miles on my rollers, 50 minutes of sweaty pleasure.:biggrin: I feel good, like I knew that I would...

Chapeau.

Mid Feb almost not much longer of the real cold to see out.

I have held off buying a turbo in the vague hope of dry weather... yes it is dry and bright, but hell it's cold out there!

I envy you, and applaud you!

Crazy nutter - I can manage 30 mins on a turbo - put me off so much, I've not been on it for 2 years.....

That's a long 52min 25miler pace! If only rollers could replicate wind resistance, then they would be the perfect training aid.

Motirolo had a curry last night - that was enough resistance for him...trouble was he was pedalling faster and faster to escape himself and not going anywhere!

Converts to 44.16kmh approximately. No wonder you have got the Kangaroo Kup! Well done.

I've gone off the turbo trainer completely. Used to use it a fair bit but...

Having sold a turbo that was used arounf five times before lying idle for two years before I sold it, I managed to convincemyself that I shopuld acquire a notherone to leave permanently attached to my hybrid in the garage to use mid week as a substitute for night rides. It's languishing unused since its acquisition two months ago.

Anyone want a Tacx Turbo for £35?

Ha...I've also got a Tacx Turbo - Speedbreaker - i.e. the noisy one with a fan - even replaced the fan 2 years ago when I drove the car over it........

I can only use it in the garage because of the noise - even then I'm in shorts and a top with a desk fan on full blast at a garage temp of 5c....I'm that sweatty...... can't even hear the old radio turned up full whack....mp3 player on LOUD with headphones just about works !!!

Just done my 45 mins on my turbo - (cycleops mag). Am totally blissed out on endorphins now... I love my turbo...:biggrin:

but yeah, it's really noisy, and disgustingly sweaty, but I cant hear it over the mp3 ( Green Day), and the towel caught most of the sweat..so I don't see a problem...
