I can only comment about my London routes. But there are a hell of a lot of RLJ's that I see on a daily basis.
Cars or bikes? I see more cars RLJing on my ride in. Especially at Old St roundabout.I can only comment about my London routes. But there are a hell of a lot of RLJ's that I see on a daily basis.
Yes, it is. I witnessed a very nasty accident where a pedestrian was hit and injured by a cyclist running a red light, and there have been pedestrian deaths caused by this. This isn't about the safety of others.
Sorry I meant bikes.Cars or bikes? I see more cars RLJing on my ride in. Especially at Old St roundabout.

Sure , but my "point" isn't about the safety of others. Its about reducing the conflict.Yes, it is. I witnessed a very nasty accident where a pedestrian was hit and injured by a cyclist running a red light, and there have been pedestrian deaths caused by this.
I pay nothing. 88g/Km. And have all bar given up driving. Last time I drove was 2 mins last night to put wife's car on drive as she couldn't . Before that errrrrr .I only pay £30 tax on my car a year. Maybe I should stop driving too!
Don't you mean road tax?![]()
Yep, I agree with that. I used to RLJ safely and courteously, and stopped doing so when someone argued years ago that if we want to be treated like traffic, we have to behave like traffic. That struck me as an excellent argument and I stopped doing it the same day.
Ha. Also, who funds all these speed bumps to suposedly keep kids safe in built up areas? Maybe a pocket money tax is needed?
So when will Kate be suggesting a "Pedestrian Tax", you know, to pay for the upkeep of those pavements that cars park and drive on...
<sarcasm> I also think it would be unfair to car drivers to make them pay even more for tax to cover the cost of my zero rated vehicle, I mean the hard done bys already pay for Band A motor vehicles... </sarcasm>
No, you can only ride a 125cc machine without a bike licence. But I do already have a car license and could drive a fairly high powered motorbike on it.
