Was this anyone else's bicycle fantasy when they were little?

As for the OP, yes I had one on my BMX. They were about as much use as the bike above

I tended to get hand-me-down bikes and in late junior school I rode a BMX(?) striker, with "motorcycle forks" I was a nice enough bike and I had loads of fun on it but it couldn't keep up with my best friends red small-framed touring bike with mudguards, luggage rack, drop bars, and gear levers on the lower bar. As we were getting to the age where we could venture out a bit further than the drive he had the advantage on longer forays and I always coveted that bike; usually from about 20 metres behind.

So last year I made my own with Eldest Son. We even got the colour right:

Was it a Sun Squadra ??

My first road bike. Gutted I don't still have it.

I can't recall the name TBH but Squdra doesn't ring any bells.

I'm sure it was a sort of champagne gold colour and it was 5 speed. When I outgrew it I got the exact same bike but as a 10 speed, and obviously bigger before any smartarses comment
