I've washed my cycling stuff at 30 degrees (as advised) but it's still a bit smelly!

I always wash at 40C but still get the odd whiffy bit of kit. Have recently tried THIS which seems to help.

The older I get, the less I sweat - sometimes I don't even wash my kit, just hang it up and pop it on the next day, and the day after sometimes.

Wash it all at 40degs on an hour wash cycle. Never had any problems.

Exactly. Every so often, run it empty on a boil wash, with 100ml of neat bleach as well as a dose of your preferred laundry detergent.

I had this with a load of washing at 40º C the other week and once before a number of years ago. The next time I did a load, everything was back to normal.

Perhaps I overloaded the machine.

30c doesn't kill bacteria.

I have some of the detol anti bac additive and it knocks smells on the head.

I put a sports additive (or rather Mrs V does...) in to wash loads of different ones. I use An HG branded one.. Only because we stock it at work and i get it cheap

Yes, I find that makes a big difference - stuff dried in the fresh air always seems to smell better.
