Strange, a thread about quality watches and not a single mention Patek. A watch brand to truly aspire to.
They also cost an arm and a leg....in fact they cost two arms and two legs. So you'd have no where to wear it.
Agreed Patek are definately playing the sentimental card but imagine being bequeathed the watch your father wore for 50 year's.That's because nobody actually owns one, they're just looking after it for the next generation or some such twaddle.
I remember in the mid 90's you could pick up the base Patek for around £5.5k was recently having a look and couldn't see anything for less than £17k.
