Waterproofing water resistant lights

Has anyone any experience of waterproofing lights that are only sold as water resistant?
Currently looking at these as I have chosen to have (rechargeable) AA battery power.

I have a set of what look like identical front lights to those on my commuter/utility bike. Havent done anything to them and they still work after a couple of years of all weather riding.

Theres a rubber o ring seal under the battery compartment lid .

You could apply vaseline to the threads.

Vaseline or lanoline, even more waterproof.

I mean, if you need something water proof over water resistant then I'd suggest looking for diving torches

Vaseline around the seals and cling film over the whole light (apart from the lens)

Me too , apart from taking the lens off to get water out but were taking full on storm driven downpours

Clingfilm works. Just change it when it gets tatty.
