Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
That's the ticket. Nothing like cheery thoughts is what I say.
I wonder if fatter people need more energy to burn or do they supply more fuel for the fire….
It's the water in the body that requires the most energy to get rid of.A modern gas cremator "reduces" 70kg of human flesh per hour.

What else is it really going to be?The ashes at the bottom of the box were a bit grittier (presumably ground up bone from the cremulator) but hardly heavy.
So, perhaps, maybe, just a thought; what if the body was dropped into a rather large body processor - sort of like a food processor but much larger - and skip the burning part - which does admittedly use up a lot of energy - a simply puree the body? Then the liquid gooey remains could be poured down the lavatory, or slurped into the river or sea, or just do what lots of people do these days in Britain, pour it all over the nearby National park.
It's been done using woodchippers, none specialist tool with strong enough blades to handle bones in America. The remains being dumped into a watercourse. You could, but I wager more people would notice...

Even they required the body be cut into smaller parts before being fed into them.
