Experiences seem to vary wildly, probably because expectations do the same.

My brother and one other person I know both accepted what they considered fair offers from webuyanycar, and doing the deal was straightforward.

On t'other hand, there are loads of stories on the internet along of the lines of 'they only offered £500 for my car which is worth at least 10 times that'.

I got offered £35 for mine. But that probably was a fair price for it TBH! Traded it in and got a grand off a new one with the old scrappage scheme.

Well I stand corrected. WBAC may very well but any car. Following a note on their site about imports I emailed head office as they suggest and they came back today with an attractive offer!

I know, or course, that it is subject to them inspecting it but I don't anticipate them being able to knock anything significant off. The bodywork is mint, the engine runs like a dream, and there is a raft of service history the like I've never seen before. So... roll on Friday and I may have a deal!

Just back from WBAC and am a very happy bunny they paid every penny of what they quoted which was significantly higher than the figure I had in mind based on advice from the owners club.

Hubs new car is arriving earlier than expected, so have to say goodbye to our old one.
Lots of happy memories, sad she's going.
