So got up into the hills for the first time this year.Despite temp in double figures was still cool above 500meters luckily had a thin waterproof jacket for the descents. Legs coped better than I expected.

Well done. It's always great when you have a day off and the weathers good too. Where were the photo's taken?

Also had a day off, was supposed to be working on the kitchen but went off on CX bike for an explore. Found some great new tracks and some ones to avoid! Sunny but still cold and snowy high up.

I too managed to get on the bike for an hour or two this morning, was pretty chilly but i had three layers on so only felt the cold on my face.
It was nice to get out but it really showed how much my bike fitness has gone down ( struggled on some of the hills) since the last time I was out which was mid January, either that or I wasn't fuelled up enough.

Pictures were on the Rhigos mountain. did a loop from neath up over Bwlch down into treorchy then up the Rhigos before dropping down to Hirwaun Glyn Neath and back down the valley to Neath.

No snow on the route but looking across to the Brecon Beacons lots of the hills had snow on top.

Looks stunning, looks like you had a better start to the day than me. We had thick mist / fog to contend with until the sun burnt it away.

I was set to go out at 6.30 this morning.

Looked out of the window having woken up at 6.05; fog. Not dramatically foggy, but enough to make me think about the descents I'd be making.

Then I went to the toilet, and it wasn't so much a case of the bottom falling out of my world, but the world... You get what I mean.

Half an hour later, and I got a redux of the above.

Match postponed until tomorrow. Which means I could have had a few last night, instead of being a good boy and going to bed at 9.30. Doubly frustrating, given the way the weather panned out eventually.
