P*ssin' down and Strong winds! I don't mind getting wet and muddy, I just don't like the idea of the strong winds blowing me into the traffic! So i guess its fair to right today off as a rest day!

And tomorrow too,and we got no heating either, waiting for the boilerman to come back and fix it Friday

As far as cities go I think Swansea has the highest UK rainfall. Of course if you want somewhere really wet then you need to look at Seathwaite Fell in the Lake District.

Manchester has a lovely climate. I don't know why everyone thinks it is so wet here

The rain finally stopped here about 4pm. I went out for a quick ride while it was dry. There's a wee bit of flooding out there. My shoes and trousers are now out to dry.

Took me 2 hours to do the journey from Whitchurch to Shrewsbury this afternoon, normally takes 40 minutes, due to horrendous flooding around Battlefield Roundabout in Shrewsbury. Was glad i was in the works "pool" car (no pun intended) which is a Nissan Note, as at least the engine sits a bit higher off the ground than my own car.

An article about yesterdays floods with pictures from the local paper here. It was a bit wet and it's about to get wet again.

I like picture number 10: the driver "carefully" negotiating the flood water.

well, day two and the builder has phoned again to say it's too wet to consider taking the roof off the extension (I agree) but the double glazing people are here doing the back of the house.
