Hah sorry you are right. i should prolly know the difference between reptiles and amphibians living next to an SSSI that hosts many, many, Newts, snakes and assorted frogs.

isn't manchester the most rained on city in the uk or something?
As far as cities go I think Swansea has the highest UK rainfall. Of course if you want somewhere really wet then you need to look at Seathwaite Fell in the Lake District.

Manchester has a lovely climate. I don't know why everyone thinks it is so wet here

The rain finally stopped here about 4pm. I went out for a quick ride while it was dry. There's a wee bit of flooding out there. My shoes and trousers are now out to dry.

Edit: Ride report with pictures now written up here

An article about yesterdays floods with pictures from the local paper here. It was a bit wet and it's about to get wet again.

I like picture number 10: the driver "carefully" negotiating the flood water.:giggle:

Edit: They've added more pictures so it's moved up the list. It's the one of the Vectra in Market Drayton.

well, day two and the builder has phoned again to say it's too wet to consider taking the roof off the extension (I agree) but the double glazing people are here doing the back of the house.
