Midsomer Murders
Episode 3: Breaking the Chain
Wednesday 27th January on ITV from 8:00pm to 10:00pm
An international cycling competition brings death to the Midsomer village of Burwood Mantle in this episode of the rural crime drama series. The race reaches a thrilling climax as Greg Eddon overtakes his team-mate Mitch McCordell to win. Team DJM owner Des McCordell is annoyed that Greg disobeyed his orders, while rival team manager Reece Dexter is angry that his team lost. Someone else is evidently displeased, for Greg is murdered soon afterwards. Barnaby and Nelson's investigation reveals tensions within Greg's team, while it also becomes apparent that not all local residents are happy about the race passing through their village. With Neil Dudgeon (DCI John Barnaby), Gwilym Lee (DS Charlie Nelson), Edward Akrout (Damien Lamerat), Fiona Dolman (Sarah Barnaby), Hari Dhillon (Reece Dexter), Richard Graham (Gerry Bleacher), Joe McGann (Joe Oliver), Tessa Peake-Jones (Mary Appleton), Derek Riddell (Des McCordell), Manjinder Virk (Dr Kam Karimore), Olivia Vinall (Kim Fosse), Sophia Di Martino (Amber Layard), Rebecca Grant (Joanna Stockerton), Ben Lamb (Aiden McCordell), Tom York (Mitch McCordell) and Jack Staddon (Greg Eddon). They've done cycling before. Recall seeing David Haig on a Moulton New Series, in an episode featuring Notsototalnewbie of YACF as an extra (on a bike, naturally).
