Dogged by fine weather again. Just cleaned the coffee machine as it won’t be getting used for 3 weeks. Later is more packing then the evening ferry to Rotterdam.

If my Delonghi B2C machine doesn't do better coffee than my cafetiere, then I'll know I've been had. But at least it'll be something that I can tell my generous ex-colleagues I've gratefully bought with their Amazon token.

I've been using my cheapo coffee machine this morning to get me through calls with The Kingdom of Far Far Away. So much stupidity, so little time. Next up, The South Africans and I keep thinking of that Spitting Image song for some reason.

No ride was done yesterday evening as was too busy with various stuff, so looks like I'll be doing a warm communt tomorrow to compensate for the lack of activity so far this week.

Machine's arrived, made first espresso with it within 10 minutes of arrival - using the only beans I had in house (the Dek decaffeinated), and it's good enough that it actually might actually wean me off caffeine - good punch to it.

Impressive!! I expect the setting up of my machine will take all of Saturday and most of Sunday......(for the next three weekends too!)

Automatically did the first flush-through, and ditto after, when I turned it off. TBH, I'll only ever use it to make espressos (or 'expressos' if you're French), so probably will barely ever have to twiddle the knobs. Easy peasy. Good 'head' on the coffee too.
