Painting? Did you go for the fibre to your bathroom cabinet option?
Signs of wetness up here. Am heading down to observe signs of smogginess this morning.
Enjoy your days
Do you need more detail Monsieur le Pedant?
(Well you asked for it, so don't moan).
The original BT cables ran along the skirting from the junction box into the house and through a dividing wall and then under some carpet before another obstacle (box section I built to cover the RSJ's when I made the downstairs open plan), out the other side and into a dedicated, built in ADSL filter/phone outlet/RJ45 ethernet socket.
So, I removed the cabling, the cable clips, the two junction boxes which left the skirting on one section in a mess plus holes in walls to fill and paint over.
Unfortunately, the only practical inlet to the house (fibre cabling cannot bend too much) meant that the junction box into the house is now in the alcove which we use for wood for the log burner. This means creating a box to shield it. I made a box with a removable Perspex front (clever me - pics later if you want them). The Perspex allows us to see if there are faults (light indicators) for the fibre junction/plug in. I have primed the box and will gloss it.
