Aaaaah! That was your first, I guess? I will never forget the joy and other emotions that overwhelmed us when our son was born and yes, be prepared for Mother Nature to reprogramme your brain in some subtle ways!
One question: was he born (like my son) bum first with his legs folded up by his shoulders or are those his hands sticking out with socks on them?

born head first and it was a nice and easy delivery.
had my first "what happened" moment last night, set an alarm for a 3AM feed, alarm went off, i got out of bed, switched it off, went toilet then got back into bed and dont remember a thing about it! luckily Mrs Kiwi woke up (i had everything ready to go it just needed mixing and cooling) and fed him
its our second and i was wondering how our eldest (2 1/2 ish) would react but he's been brilliant.

we have a bike trailer (not suitable ive been told for a newborn) a handled ferrari trike and a balance bike (all for jacob but im sure logan wont mind hand me downs.)Congrats to you all! You have got him a bike already , haven't you?
