The point is it happens all the time, its nothing new, and if you look left just as you look right it isnt a problem for a cyclist.
Not obsessed with critisising cyclists, just things I see that seem to contradict good and safe cycling. Hence this title of crusade against one, it just so happens I believe his ways cause more than they prevent.
Why post it if he wasnt saying anything about this drivers actions, which are stupid yes, but common and easily avoided by us if your alert.

I'm glad you think it's not a problem if people are driving up the wrong side of the road, I'm slightly worried you think it's common, remind me not to cycle round your way. It doesn't matter whether or not the cyclist looked, or whether or not he was safe because of it. The point of the thread is that the van driver was driving illegally, and dangerously, and I think that's worthy of comment.

If I happened to get some video of me getting out of the way as someone drove over the pavement, would you think that was worthy of comment? Or would it be ok, because I saw him coming and he didn't kill me.

So many seem to like to blame someone else for their unsafe cycling, im surprised you didnt have a go at the car on the wrong side of the road overtaking a parked car, but then you were focused on the van were you not? It must be why i have never had so many incidents as some on here, as a matter of course i look left also when turning left, you never know what could be there.

How was EMD blaming the van driver for his own unsafe cycling? He wasn't, he was blaming the van driver for driving like a berk. EMD behaved perfectly well, he just wanted to show us the van driver being a tit.

I look forward to the next exciting instalments of everyday things happening and blame being laid because the filmer has nothing better to do, or is trying to join in on pointing out the error of drivers ways, even when its nothing in the whole scheme of things. Oooh he could have killed, maimed , or what if he swerved and what if what if, oh forget that i didnt look

+1 ...its a self censorship kind of thing ....unless you see something truely illegal, or a comment truly damaging to the cause of cycling which I havent seen here lately.
