tried this route to-day with wifey, it was virtually traffic free, we parked at west hythe car park which is free, then we cycled along royal military canal to hythe then on the cycle path to folkestone, it is route2, it was so nice not to encounter traffic, would recommend this route for a steady hassle free amble
