Hi all, am new to this forum and was wondering if you could recommend best routes from West Kensington to Piccadilly Circus? I am currently taking the Cromwell Road-Knightsbridge-Picadilly route...
Many thanks

I would go through Hyde Park and come at Wellington Arch. Then follow the back roads through Mayfair and avoiding Piccadilly itself.
Having said that,Piccadilly is 2 lanes of slow moving traffic and has a bus lane from green park station onwards,so you may feel safe going along that stretch

Yep. The beginning of my ride home starts in Hammersmith and turns off at Constitution hill.

I always take the park, either at the gates at the top of Queens gate (summers only as they shut at dusk)

or the road at the top of Exhibition row.

Then its off into constitution arch where you can then filter onto picadilly for the last stretch. the park is quet, fast and pretty wind free.

Keep your eyes open for a chap on a red Specialized Allez Elite with those odd bar end lights (Trax Lumos), it might be me!
Thanks will do! If you see someone on a red No Logo single seed and a bright orange cycling jacket waiving at you, waive back!!! Hahaha

You might see me to...I take the exact same journey as the one shown in Jonny's Video. But it looks like he go's a bit faster than me

I can tell you I didnt last night, flippin awful pace. Headwind, snow, rain, head wind and then some headwind.

did I mention the headwind?

Some rides I whizz, some nights I just like to crawl along.

Smashing, glad it helped.

Just wait till the sun comes, you'll find yourself sat at the tennis club enjoying a cheeky latte and watching the low sun.

The parks are fantastic in the summer

It was great last Summer during the Olympics, as a lot of it was closed off to traffic, and there were barriers up, making it feel like you were in a race
The only down side, is all the horse c..p all over the road.

Great journey back home this evening with a very loose saddle... Had to ride standing up all the way to the closest bike store in Chelsea to get some tools as didn't have any on me at that time... What a great journey that was... Hahaha
