Wet or dry shave?

I wet shave using a lady's venus triple blade...I find they last three times as long as a blokey blade and shave much smoother..& yes I am defo hetero

I suspect the only difference between 'mens' and 'women' is the colour.

Your beard is alledgely as tough as the equivalent piece of copper wire for the same thickness. I've toyed with the idea of a straight razor but came to the conclusion that trying it at work (on a supply boat in North Sea) would probably result in my nose being a litle shorter than the accepted norm. respect to those that do.

'Gilette fusion power' a worthwhile upgrade or marketing hype over a triple blade? (I suspect I know the answer to this)

Wet one for me. Double edged blade in safety razor and I just use whatever soap is going. I only need to change my blade about once a month.

You can keep your multi bladed disposable whatevers. Expensive and cr&p

Oh - and I never have shaved (or removed hair from) my legs.

always use to wet shave now gone back to dry shaving , but once you get confident and find the right blades wet shaving gives a much better shave any day

Which is it?

I used to dry shave but I've swapped to wet shaving. I use a superdrug two blade special with a shaving brush and shaving soap rather than foam.

I seem to have to change the blade every 3 or 4 shaves, does that sound about right and which is the best wet shaver do you think?

Strictly wet shaving for me. I have a variety of double-edged blades, and a straight-edge for special occasions. I am happy with the creams by my local: Taylors of Old Bond Street. My current tub has lasted over 6 months given an average of 4 shaves a week, and it only cost about £8.

Every once in a while, go to a proper barber (no Nicks, or Dominics spelt with Q's, nor Kat's, Kaz's, or any other lady shavers) and request a straight-edge shave. Assuming it is a good one, it will be an experience to remember - for all the good reasons.

Almost forgot, I recommend Merkur. I would advice a level of caution if purchasing the Futur, or Vision as these have some design issues which make it awkward to adjust during shaving - they can also be pretty damn sharp.

I recommend an HD 34C or similar.

Gillette Fusion Stealth for me,boy they sounds so macho how can anyone resist them.
I got mine when they were on 'special offer' over Christmas otherwise I'd still be on the gillette disposable's.Have to say they are a good smooth shave though,on the down side the blades cost a fortune to replace,luckily I only shave 1 or 2 times per week so don't have to buy them too often
