Wet shave with a Fusion and King of Shaves gel (the orange one currently)

I only shave twice a week max, and I have to leave at least 2 non-shaving days in between or I get a rash on my neck.

I hate shaving, hence the goatee, eliminiating the tricky nose, chin area.

I don't get the dry shaving thing.
I have in the past tried it and by God it snagged and hurt so it is a wet shave for me every morning.

I was bought a Phillishave one Christmas, the one you can use with water, and it gives a good shave but not as good as a blade.
If I want a really close shave I whip off the (wet) stubble with the Phillishave then shave as per normal with a blade. No razor rash that way either.

I used to use expensive razors such as Gillette but found that Bic sensitive ones give as good a shave. I get two or three shaves from a disposable.

Gillette blade and (Body Shop) soap is the only thing that work for me.

During my recent hospital stay (and a week @ home) I wasn't allowed to shave 'cos they thought, as I was on blood thinners (I had to stab myself in the abdomen) I might cut my throat and bleed to death.

As a result, my beard grew to a length it hasn't been in years.

The nurses humoured me, saying I looked "distinguished." When I finally got in front of the mirror, I freaked. There was some old bum staring back at me!

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: I have had that experience too. Very unsettling.

Wilkinson Sword Quadro Ti razor with Nivia for Men sensitive foam for me, always after a hot long bath. I go through a blade every shave but I also shave my head as well, I tried disposables but they tend to dig into my scalp new or old.

Disposable razors are an evil plot by the Red Cross.

I also "shave" me 'ead. But can't be bothered to finish and buff. I just use electric clippers on shortest setting. "Pig shave," I believe it's called.

That doesn't work for me cause of the way I'm balding. I just lather up, shave & use an aftershave balm over my face & scalp.

Gilette Sensor Excell for me, Nuage shaving oil, with a layer of brush'n'bowl lather on top. Down first, stretch and upwards on the second pass. Blades last about a fortnight unless Mrs Cube decides to use my razor to do her legs

Head gets a "down to the wood" with a beard trimmer blade (no attachment) every week.

Using Sainsburys own foam and disposable blades one week usage.
Also gone to asking for a blade haircut.Number 6 last week.
That thin footpath that was a parting is now an American sized highway.

So i asked for the blade.Quite good so next time a number 4.I think it looks very tidy.
