Unsurprisingly, none of the ladies have replied to this thread. Yet.

No but some of us are reading it. With particular relevance to thread on a similar subject. However I do not wish to embarrass anyone in particular, or do I?:evil::biggrin::becool:

Brush and bowl is best for me, but i take shave gel to the morning gym session (for the shower after not during!!) Shaving in the shower is best, especially if you've got heavy stubble because it softens it up.
I just wish i didn't work in a posh shop, then i could grow my beard back and be a hairy biker like i was before.;)

For Piemasters benefit, exfoliating is where u scrub your face with soap that feels like you found it at the beach untill you remove most of the skin on the basis that your better half says that it'll "help clear your pores". Trust me, mud and rain is more fun!

Slightly OT, but still on the subject of male grooming (I think)
can anyone enlighten me as to what this 'exfoliating' thing actually is?

Its the removal of dead skin on its surface,so making less clogging of the pores i believe, and having cleaner fresher skin.

Wet shave when I can be bothered or have a significant event; but normally twice a week with Gillette Sensor Excel (have done for years) and King of Shaves (menthol). My favourite foam / cream is made by Clarins....I'm sensitive.

So I should be washing my face with the orangy hand cleaner with the bits in from the garage then? Could be included as part of a regular bike maintenance routine. Lubricate bike, clean hands, remove skin from face type thing.

Or does scraping a sharpened piece of metal over my face whilst shaving not count?

Well tah for everyones comments. I've moved to the new King of Shaves 4 blade shaver and some of their oil and what a difference. As the budget allows I shall try a few other recommended products but I think I might steer clear of the cuthroats for now.
