Wet shaver, always have been. I've tried an electric razor a few times, but it always felt as though I hadn't bothered shaving.

12 shaves out of Fusion...bloody hell, I'm only getting 3-4. Actually, that's a lie as I've only used them once when I got a freebie sample with a mag. I refuse to pay the price for them...was using Mach 3 but 6 months ago I changed to a straight (cut throat) razor....cos I'm a real man....plus I'm a tight Northerner and after the initial cost of the razor (£135), it now costs nothing to shave. Takes a bit of practice, but you soon get the hang of it and you get the smoothest of shaves...but not recommended when hungover and shaky lol

Wet shave every day with Gillette Sensor Excel blades. After trying lots of foams I now just use lather from a bar of soap, works just as well and washes out of the blade easier.

I've looked for cheaper blades that work as well but not found any, open to suggestions? The Gillette ones last over a week usually.

Wet shave. Some of you guys must have really tough stubble - my twin blades usually last for weeks.

Brush and bowl for me, hand made soap made to whatever fragrance I fancy from here - lasts for ages.
Straight razor - respect. Often considered it but never quite had the nerve. Bouncing around on a oil rig supply boat and ending up with my nose in the sink being the main one

Weeks...shaving everyday...? That's value for money there guys. I can only get 3-4; 5 at a push, but then I'll probably cut myself on that last shave. Easier to cut on a blunt razor than a sharp one.

Ha, ha..yup I wouldn't recommend a straight in your situation Piemaster. But when things aren't as shaky, then give it a go. I always use a brush too, lifts the bristle, better shave. I got my straight razor from here:

Wet shave always.

I had a nasty experience with an electric philishave - the thing gripped hold of my stubble and jammed the rotating blades, leaving the shaver clinging to my face with no means of getting the bloody thing off. I had to yank it off in the end.

Chucked it straight in the bin.

The latest most expensive gillette blades *always* work best. I don't know how they do it. Palmolive extra sensitive with aloe vera is the best gel.

Never use king of shaves, because it's shoot, and leaves you zitty. People only buy it because it's called 'king of shaves'. They'd probably buy a toothbrush called 'tooth bastard - scourge of plaque'.

I recommend this one Crackle.

I prefer the shaving oil personally. I much prefer it over foams or gels but I do have a goatee (well, handlebar moustache + soul patch) to keep in shape and the fact it's clear makes this an easy job.

I haven't had a proper wet shave for a year or so now though, instead using the same hair clipper with no attachments (ie a 0) that I use for my heed.

Wet shave with this, which I let dry out to a solid soap consistency before using. A tub has now lasted me for about a year shaving near-daily.

I find that a) cheapo blades are a false economy, the more reguarly you shave the longer the blades seem to last (WTF???) and c) Gillette must have patented something special because their blades are the only ones that don't jam up with hairs!

Is it feasible/advisable/possible to have you face waxed?

Don't think so. For a laugh my wife (then g/f) many years ago covered my face in Immac hair remover and made me keep it on for 15 minutes. No hair fell out, and I was allergic to it. Went red and puffy for a week. Thanks love.

Wet shave with shave oil every day for me. I tried an electric shaver as a teenager and didn't get on with it.
