I reckon they should do Jeremy Clarkson for incitement - it's pretty obvious who the dim narrator wants to be

I dont think he has ever incited anyone to drench people at bus stops, I have a fair ammount of respect for Clarkson really, ok he can be a bit outspoken but usually its backed up with some reasoning and common sense wheras this self-gratification artist needs a kicking whoever he is doing a piss poor impersonation of.

The whole incident wound me up as its very like a lot on here have had to put up with, being treated as amusement for the cruel and selfish ensconced in a car, those feeling safe and secure enough to pick on those more vulnerable, its a hideous and disturbing trend and I hope these idiots get what is coming, the fact they did it was bad enough but even worse was they thought it "funny" enough to put on Youtube, maybe as a rallying call to other like minded idiots

Sorry...It's not obvious to me, who? It's nothing like Clarkson. Maybe if there was James May and Hammond waiting for a bus at Dunsfold Park (eg. the track) it would of happened, but not to a group of strangers like that.

I think Clarkson's articles do vary on which publication, but overal I enjoy the programmes he does and his journalism. 'clarkson' comments do annoy me though.

I agree with your second paragraph completely, but I have to ask where that trend came from. Who told the self-gratification artists in the cars that people on foot, bus or bikes are a bit sad and there to be laughed at?

IMO Clarkson's "We're right, they're idiots, let's trash a caravan" approach legitimises bad behaviour from that minority of his fans* who aren't smart enough to separate reasoning and common sense from dumb prejudice. Sure he may be smarter than that, but he's made his money telling idiots what they want to believe is true.

The bloke in the car obviously thought Clarkson was the best narrator for a bit of car-supremacy-based humour. We can debate the finer points of Clarkson's own values but this is the message he is sending in practice.

(* fans is the wrong word of course, his target market is far too blokey to consider themselves fans. They are just a bunch of people who enjoy watching him and thinks he talks a lot of sense. Which amounts to the same thing).

And don't get me started on Chris Moyles! ;)

A similar story came up over a year ago, as I recall. A woman failed her driving test because she had splashed some pedestrians. A bit of searching has uncovered the story on the BBC website. She was surprised that she failed:

"It was my third test and I was really confident. To fail for something like that really annoyed me.
"It's ridiculous. Why should you hand over your details? What good would that do?
"It wasn't as though I'd deluged this pedestrian. And if I'd swerved to avoid the puddle I might have caused an accident."

I wonder whether she ever passed?

That is a worrying article!

Driver sees child by side of road so slows down..... and then expects some commendation for the act - it should be unremarkable and normal practice!
Aside from the fact that Clarkson presents himself as someone whose entire life is an ego trip, I don't think that he was looking for commendation there.
In any case, whatever his motives were it is an account of exemplary driving, which as you say should be normal practice.
