49. Which is about right, as I'm 49.

Disappointed to see the results still trot our a load of pap about BMI. I'm heavy because I'm a student of the steel, not because I've a 10 a day pie habit.

A bit rubbish to be honest. I don't know my blood pressure or cholesterol, but if i select the "what happens if I lower" either of them my heart age increases. Still much same as my age.

Most of the questions are "are you already ill" appart from are you fatand do you smoke

Came out older than my real age - I went 'back' to see what could have accounted for this, since I ticked 'no' for all the bad stuff and have a low BMI. The only thing I could see that could possibly account for it is that I put 'don't know' for my cholesterol and blood pressure - so I was then badgered about doing something about my cholesterol and blood pressure.

Ok, here's what I don't get. Because I said 'don't know', the survey said it would use 'average' figures. So, my score is 'better than average' for almost everything (no 'bad stuff', BMI excellent); they've added on two 'average' guesstimates, and I've ended up significantly worse than average. I don't know much about heart health, but I have a vague understanding of how numbers work, and I struggle to see how that makes sense.

Mine gives a heart age 8 years above actual. Why aren't there questions about how active you are, or how much alcohol you consume?

I had blood tests and an ECG yesterday as a result of recently discovering that I have high blood pressure so I'll try it again once I know my cholesterol. I've been testing my BP daily for the past few weeks so I know that's still a wee bit high although it's coming down.

Yep. There’s a height to waist size ratio measurement that is a better fit for athletes with lots of muscle bulk, but most people who find they fit on the ‘obese’ range of the BMI measurement are ‘obese’ on that as well.
