What animals have you seen on your rides?

Thread resurrection, I saw a Wallaby, far to close for comfort at the roadside , on my ride on saturday. defo the most unlikely bit of wildlife I've seen to date on a ride.

That would be alarming, albeit perhaps not unexpected in Kosovo, although to be fair i was aware there was a wild wallaby population around here, I just didn't expect to see one squatting in the undergrowth

I thought it was a large dog to start with then realised. TBF I'd be much more alarmed by a large dog running wild!

quite close to Whipsnade zoo. they have had various escapes but they seem to stay close and thrive in the wild.

Not really relevant to the thread but, he's my wife's uncle, as she was a Valentine once.

Just the usual : deer, hares, badgers, stoat , weasel and a range of birds. Only otter was roadkill unfortunately.

I once heard an angry sounding wild boar a few feet away from me in the Forest of Dean, but I didn't hang around to take a look at it.

We see barn owls quite regularly on night MTB rides around here and it’s always a spectacle to behold. Once I was riding down a narrow ‘tunnel’ caused by overgrowing trees and a barn owl flew over me, from behind, and brushed my helmet as it did.
