One of the great metal bands. I watched Dimebag's last performance in the UK in 2004 with Damageplan at Donnington. Sadly weeks later he was murdered on stage by a fan with paranoid schizophrenia.

you would think that an event such as that would have triggered some sort reform of the mental health system in the U.S. Its even taken the UK a long time to really see it as a serious issue so we're not quite as innocent in that regard either.
Anyway - Heres a band i was obsessed with before i started listening to Pantera
Some tracks from Saturday night's 9 hour playlist that we pieced together on the hoof apart from the first couple of hours:
Lovely Wife finds this track amusing as she is (self-confessed) 'bloody lazy' around the house and 'if you wanted a housewife you should've married someone else'. Fair enough then.
Fantastic old school banger. Lovely Wife can dance really well to this but my pathetic efforts reduce her to derisive laughter. Fair enough again. We usually pump this one up way past sensible and the big skeleton clock on the wall over the fireplace literally starts bouncing.
Up-tempo version of Sam & The Pharoah's classic (Full Metal Jacket anyone?) - Lovely Wife is still trying to master that strange flicky leg move in the original dance steps to this tune. She also wants this played at her creamation that won't be attended by anyone on request.
Stunning version of this track - probably best for one of those one last time break-up moments but nonetheless a heart-wrenching listen. Cool voice too.
This is 'our tune' from way back on our second date when the then 25 year old Lovely Wife was all dressed up in blue and looking drop-dead gorgeous. Makes me teary every time.
This our current 'call it a night' song which is usually deep into Saturday morning when we are scoffing sausages washed down with Prosecco. Not sure how this little ritual came about but it is fun.
