What are you doing this weekend

I just got an invite to go for a short stroll in the sunsine to a local cafe. I know it isn't that exciting, but I am spending about 164 hours a week in the house so I look forward to the 4 hours outside!

PS I'm just back! It's 3 months since I was last able to walk as far as the park in Hebden Bridge and the seasons have moved on since then. The sun is much lower in the sky now, and it was barely peeping above the hillside on the south side of the park. It was really chilly out of the sun so we bought takeaway coffees and walked back (north) towards the town centre to find a sunny spot to sit in.

I hope you all enjoyed your rides in the sunshine today because tomorrow is looking a lot less pleasant for much of the UK!

Closing down the in-laws caravan. Got a stinger of £500 deposit to pay for next year (we've taken on the bills). Halloween party at the pub for the kids/site tonight. Likely to pop back next week as another local pub has a huge bonfire and fireworks party.

I had a very cold three mile round trip to Brixton to get a few things from the market and it took me hours to thaw out afterwards. Thank god I never signed up for last night's FNRttC as I've have been frozen stiff before the end of the safety talk. Dinner was butternut squash and spinach lasagne, washed down with a pumpkin beer and I've just finished an In Heat What hefe weizen by the Flying Dog brewery.

I'm in Talamanca, ibiza, just relaxing and enjoying a little sun. I say relaxing, we walked circa 10 miles yesterday along the beach and harbours. Going to be looking for a bike hire place and hopefully explore a bit on two wheels.

Packing up to leave here and return to York in a day or two. It's below zero outside and I switch off everything and drain the water system as much as poss. Early this year it was -19 for days on end, quite a contrast to summer when it +30 for days on end. We have just a tiny paraffin heater so central heating will be nice.

Spent this morning still trying to keep the rain out of my car. Then this afternoon did a mammoth spring clean of my wood workshop, well half way there. Now doing laundry.
