Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
I'm sitting here on the train on my daily commute up to London listening to one of my favourite artists/muscians/writers/poets, Gil Scott Heron.

I was introduced to him as a young child by a music mad uncle but despite being lucky enough to see loads of other amazing artists I just never got round to seeing him before he died in 2011. I suppose I thought he would go on a lot longer.

It's this that made me grab the opportunity to get tickets to see Herbie Hancock in July in Ghent as myself and @Fab Foodie will be out in Belgium at the same time. After all he is 76  and I always see him in my mind like this in the 80s.

Had to cancel my trip to the Isle of Wight festival in 1970.
I'd never seen JimI Hendrix. He was headlining and was my all time guitar hero.
He died a week later.

I didn't go and see Emerson, Lake and Palmer in London, and of course they never toured again.
I did manage to see Queen at Knebworth though

My sister's first husband went to that festival and really enjoyed seeing Hendrix.

Blimey that's a serious bummer.
My sister ended up divorcing the husband. He died before he got to 50, but at least he'd had a good time when he was young!

I saw him (Herbie H) fifteen or so years ago, he was bloody awful, just played a kind of random notes thing, it wasn't until the end that we got a tune (Watermelon Man).

He was rubbish*.

Also in the North East, I've managed to miss out on Nick Cave at The Sage - twice. Tickets were gone almost instantly both times. Gutted.

*Sorry, this isn't true, it was an immense gig!

I saw Nick Cave when he was in The Birthday Party, so just a boy, he was great even then though.

I would like to have seen Elvis in Vegas in 1969 or 1970 when his voice was at its best, that's only now though, at that time I was only 5.

Live Aid. It was a toss-up between buying Live Aid tickets or Springsteen at Wembley on the 4th of July (Mrs FF was a big fan).
Springsteen was awesome though.

Always wanted to see The Tubes, and Steely Dan.
