At the moment I'm mostly on

Leffe - £1 a bottle in Tesco!
Duvel - have to watch how many though!
Paulaner
The odd Peroni and Peroni Gran Reserva
And as always the odd pint of Guinness

Holsten Pils alcohol free £2.80 for 6x330ml in Tesco.

I'm on the wagon until April and these are very acceptable once you've got used to them. Makes Saturday nights watching MOTD a bit more acceptable.

That Duvel is lethal!!

I'm not really drinking much at the moment, working nights. I could have managed a beer when I got in this morning at 8.15, but had to settle for a glass of white wine instead.

Anything that isn't pasteurised and pumped with carbon dioxide or nitrogen.

There are hundreds of artisan brewers in the UK producing beers to suit all palates, unlike the massive fizz factories producing Euro keg urine-a-like.

I'm quite enjoying Peeterman Artois, and saving the Maredsous Blonde, Dubbel and Trippel (sp?) I was given for christmas for a special occasion.

God I miss proper British beer, kept by a good cellarman..... I really appreciate a nice warm bitter.
In my uni days I used to do a summer cycle every year on the continent - anything from three to eight weeks - and the first thing I used to do on getting back to blighty was always to head straight for the nearest pub and sink a pint of best.

Agreed.
A friend of mine has just been made redundant. Far from sympathizing, I'm actually really envious, since he told me he's going to spend his days making the beer he can no longer afford to buy. Jammy get.

+1 for Hobgoblin

Lidl has Spitfire & Hobgoblin @ £1.50 per bottle AND 5 for 4.

No wonder the Hobgoblin had all gone! :-(

Lidl & Aldi always worth a look for good prices on beer.
