I'm just going to copy! I recently spent odd time here and there over three weeks trying to get my damned canti brakes working properly (at all)! At one point they were almost right. Then I tested them and realised I hadn't tightened all the nuts and bolts. Cables and blocks all reverted to their previous crap status.
I also hate and still can't get right, wrapping bar tape. It is the only thing I get the lbs to do.

Now I feel stoopid. Spend loads of time washing, claying, waxing the cars with similar cleaning tools....and never thought to use it on the bike. Duh.

Actually, that blue jobby looks like the thing they put round the lavatory in a heavily scented B&B. I'm feeling queasy.

BTW, I washed my bike with a big sponge from Screwfix this afternoon. Just water. It looks pretty good.
Picked my new one up in tk maxx. But usually pound shops or wilkos do them.
Excellent for cleaning chains too. My mate asked if I'd bought a new chain. I said no I cleaned it... Lol
