You might want to know that with quick release wheels and seat, most of a folding bike is potentially stealable! you can chain it carefully, but most foldies seem to just take it in to work with them. And a bike under your desk should be highly secure!I ask as my research into buying a folder continues. Thanks
Complete mix at my place. This being Sheffield, it's always been dominated by mountain bikes and road bikes, but we're starting to get more vareity now. More ladies bikes, quite a few sporty hybrids and a couple of electric bikes. There's a really stunning Dawes Ultra Galaxy in there most days. There are many places in the college to park my bike, but I choose the staff parking (because its sheltered and has lockable cages). I park my bike right next to a foldable bike which has quite a bit of kit on it. It looks pretty cool!. The owner even used SPD's on it and has drop bars. I havent met the owner but the bike is always there in the morning and always gone in the evening.
They even use a little ramp to prevent the bike from rolling back (a door stop thingy).
So what bikes do you park next to?
... although one of the others is unlocked. Apparently the owner is 'going to get round to moving it' [the unlocked bike], although it's been there for over a year.
Quite often our bike racks at work are all full, but luckily for me my boyfriend works in the same place but starts before me and finishes after so I just lock my bike to his! I get a few funny looks sometimes!I park next to my wife's bike, which is the same as mine but WSF.
