Have you run a speed test recently? We signed up to 50mbps at the end of last year and it's recently been upgraded. You might also be looking at 120mbps within a few months.
What broadband speed do you get? Mine has just doubled.....

That is through a ethanet cable though. Wireless is about half that virgins router is a bit crap I think. It took a great deal of fiddling to get it running at around half the speed of a wired connection. Although I have noticed that true download speeds rarely hit over 5mb/s though.

37Mb download three computer on one watching t.v. me just browsing not sure whats happening on the other, might be a fourth on. BT infinity 3-4k from the exchange I think. 7Mb upload.

This is where improvements need to be made, the only thing that needs anything over 40mbs for example is HD Vid, last time i checked on this comp it was 68Mbs but I am the furthest away and through two switches, the TV and Vision box type thing goes through 100Mb switch which is ample, the rest of the net work is on 1Gb, but people are stupid (here) it doesn't matter how many times I tell them wired is quicker they still use the wireless, don't know what speed that is these days.

We're upgrading to EE fibre in a few weeks - a good deal through being loyal customers. TBH, the speed we have now isn't too bad, although there's a lot of congestion on the wireless signal because we're in a terraced street in a studenty area. We're making full use of the CAT5 sockets.

My phone and iPad only get around 30Mbps download speed over the wireless, my old laptop got the full 160Mbps with a wire. I have an Apple Airport Extreme Wireless N box and they are connect to a 5Ghz wireless network. I did expect more tbh, might have a fiddle tonight if I remember.
There's a Better Broadband Suffolk scheme which is bringing far higher rates but large areas of the county are not included. Trying to find out if our village is part of it shows stories claiming it is but others saying it is only in the "guaranteed 2mb/s". The official website map has us as the latter. Picture below from that site has white areas as "2Mbps commitment", which seems to be basically doing naff all other than checking existing copper.
Despite being a scheme to boost rural access, all they've done is go for the more heavily populated areas that were next in line for BT to do anyway.
