Go on then, I'll bite. 1967 for me which, as far as I can see, and quite amazingly, puts me in the younger bracket category on here.

We do seem to be alarmingly short of really young people, in their 20's and 30's. Or maybe there is a much trendier spin off cycling forum out there where all the kids hang out!

Cycling is not a young persons sport anymore. Desirable bikes (Those the magazines falsely push as must haves) are too expensive, even though there are plenty of machines for a grand or less that will fulfill the needs of 90% of us. Every time a magazine describes a perfectly good bike as "Entry level" because it doesn't cost a fortune any number of potential cyclists researching what they can get for their money decide, "Not for me".

Sadly, a sport which was affordable and inclusive has become off putting to those who are led to believe they will be looked down upon and laughed at unless they can blow 5k and upwards on a bike.

It’s not the sight of old, fat blokes in Lycra that puts them off the hobby then…..

It's the Facebookisation of the Internet, speeded up by the Online Safety Act which, ironically, pushes people to Zuckerberg's cesspit because compliance is too much of an arse.

If everyone is being truthful we potentially have a 106 year old in our midst.........at the least 97........

Congratulations Sir, I hope you're still 🚴 👏
Yes, I was wondering who that is.
Also the entry for the '30s'; I know there is Joyce Topping at 93, but there might/must be others.

Me? I am at the other end of the poll and 60 years younger than the 1920s'... Or alternatively, 40 years older than these 2020s'!
