What did you buy in 2015 -Mary Portas

It seems that if you cut up veg so that it looks a bit like noodles then somehow it is better.

Somehow if you get trainers with the name of some American rapper on then you are as cool as them.

If you grow a beard you now need to put oil on it, even though they have not done this in the past.

You need a different jumper at Christmas.

It was fun to watch but I really felt quite lost and that most of the trends had either passed me by or I had avoided them. I really try to not spend money unless I need to and I buy stuff that will last a long time if I can.

Adult colouring books reminds me ... 'mindfulness'. a lot of people bought that in 2015, metaphorically.

Colouring books - I came across them this year. Astonished to find how many people use them to relax and cut the stress. They help calm disturbed school students too.

And if you get really hooked, you can .........

get an A-level in Geography. ^_^

Please don't tell any geography teachers on CC that I said that .... PLEASE! :stop:

They'll have heard it all before. The PE teachers sitting in the 'vegetable patch' in school staffrooms love it because for once they have some colleagues that they can poke fun at.

Not when you get to the end and find that there's a couple of pieces missing. :okay:
That's when you get the fretsaw out and cut some spare plywood to replace the missing pieces. I'm still waiting for Mrs Poacher to colour them in....

The second one was tricky; apart from the whimsical shapes, I didn't even have a picture to match the pieces against. Here's the box it came in.

I believe jigsaw puzzles have the same effect?
They do, but I don't have the patience for big jigsaws, nor the space on my kitchen table, as it's a small table. I used to do a lot of jigsaws when I had a big table. Maybe I'll get another big table, one of these days.
