well as title, what do yous think of b-twin i had a 28 year old ridge back 602ex mtb, still in shed, was my first big boy bike

replaced it with a b twin rock rider 540 and replaced that front deraileur with a deore and its working perfect, been about 1000 or more miles on that bike and im thinking its a worthy replacement for my old ridge back.

dad liked it too so he replaced a ridgeback 605lx with a rockrider 520 and hes well happy with it both his front and back are deore now

so just wondering what the general opinions are on decathlons own brand b twin bikes? any one got one how is it etc

im thinking of getting a road bike in the future is the triban 300 a good budget one? been using my mtb on roads as i get more confident lol

We had a Triban 3 for a while; the bike was excellent value but the wheels were made from French cheese and soon needed replacing.

I bought a Rockrider 8.1 last year. (I like riding on the road but wanted an MTB for winter but couldn't justify a mad price).

It's been brill, and was beautifully set up when I got it. A mate who really takes his mountainbiking seriously thought it would be £2-300 more if it was a "name" brand with equivalent kit. Rides nice and frame quality is excellent.

My Btwin Riverside 3 (it's called a 500 now) crosstrail, has been a superb bike. I've actually done more miles on it than my roady. It owes me nothing, but just keeps going. I replaced the gash standard tyres and brake pads, but other than that, I've had to do nothing major to it. I'm going to get one of their foldy uppy bikes at the weekend.

wow sweet, glad to see their thought of as good bikes with the plus that neds who want to steal a bike might not know wtf a b-twin is lol

the 540 rockrider rides so nice still using the stock kenda nevegal tyres and their really grippy, although i used to chuck on any old tyre on my ridgeback lol

its proven to be a good succsessor to my trusty ridgeback about 1000 miles on it now and im starting to think of new tires after the next few hundred, im tempted to get thinner tires for road use but with it been almost winter im not sure i should lol

seen a 8.1 in the shop a few weeks ago it looked so nice especially with x7 front and back, mine only had x7 on back with a altus on front but changed it for a deore and im loving the x7 on the back

between the ridgeback and the btwin i had a muddy fox for 3 months (what posessed me to kit out a damn muddyfox instead of my old fully working exage gears and brakes ridgeback with awesome biopace) oh god i want they 3 months back but the refund helped me get the 540
