If you saw the size of my rear bag you would understand quite how much of a miracle this is. To say it is small would be an understatement. It is a small Fizik ICS bag.

Similar kit in bigger bike bags, but not space / weight saving versions.

my little tools.

enough that a minor mechanical problem or puncture will not force me to push my bike home. A multi tool, a multi head spanner, a tyre lever, some self adhesive patches, a couple of zip ties, a chain emergency link, minimum number of batteries to be sure I'll always have one front and rear light on the go & some latex gloves which are brilliant not only for keeping your hands clean but are a godsend fixing a puncture in freezing cold and pouring rain when you don't need numb fingers.
