What do you put in the little tool bag under your seat?

Spare inner tube, puncture repair kit, a small bag of tools and my mobile phone.

Has anyone actually used the patch on the road. I could never find the leak and just replaced the tube. Am I missing something?

The patches I carry are there just in case I get a second puncture, its rare but it has happened.

Cant believe no-ones mentioned a sleeve of paracetamol or ibuprofen!

Its a godsend when your 30odd miles from home and the headache monster comes to visit you!

First resort would be to replace the tube, but on one occasion last year my replacement (new) tube inflated like a string of sausages. On close inspection it was of varying width between the seams even without air inside, inflating only made it worse. So I used a glueless patch on the original tube. I know some people have had success with glueless patches but from my experience they are only "get you home" measures.

Another ride and another new tube failed near the valve after a quarter mile. I'd rather have a trusty patched (with glue) tube than an untested new one.

Aftershave, condoms, chamois leather posing pouch, toothbrush and paste, just the stuff most cyclists carry around.

.....they don't? Oh.
