I was picking Amelia up yesterday tea-time, from Rothwell Park, after she'd been there to meet friends

In a glazed notice-board, near the Café was this, as a poster.......................
I'd not seen the picture before

A bit of searching found it online

Safe Cycling Ireland have used that and similar pictures for a while now.

there was a motorbike safety ad on for not very long last year like this where motorbikes had the rider's name in neon above them, I thought it was good but it wasn't on for very long or very often, not much money behind stuff like that, endless funds to promote the idea of smug, self-satisfied people driving exciting sexy cars

Fully agree. My light hearted comment was only picking up on how the poster might touch on that great CC debate.

Good point about the random use of white paint and 'that'll do' mentality by some councils. I'm always much impressed by the cycle lanes that just stop for no particular reason.
