What do you use your blender for?

I thought I needed a blender when we first got our house. The only time I have used it is when I am making my curry bases for winter.



I use a coffee grinder for making my chilli flakes and powder. Lethal if you don't have a decent dust mask.

I don't like coffee so it's only ever had chillies in it. Works a treat for making large amounts of powder.

I've got a no-name stick blender that cost £6. It's brilliant for making mayonnaise. I also use it for mixing up diluted PVA solutions to add to cement. Washing-up afterwards is the work of a moment...….stick the business end in water and press the button.

We have three, an attachment for the Kenwood chef, an attachment for the magimix and a hand blender.
The hand blender is the only one that ever gets used, mainly for soups and curries.
